Four community solar services. Pick what you need.

Each service stands on its own - hire us as your developer, your EPC, your O&M operator, or your subscriber CRM. Most clients hire us for two or more, because the handoffs disappear.

Service 01

Project development & sales

Greenfield to NTP-ready, then sold or syndicated.

We originate, de-risk, and structure community solar projects from a raw parcel through Notice-to-Proceed. Once a project is shovel-ready, we either build it ourselves, syndicate it to a tax-equity sponsor, or sell it outright to an IPP - whichever maximizes value for the landowner and capital partner.

Typical greenfield → NTP: 12–24 months

What we do

  • Site origination, qualification, and option agreements
  • Interconnection studies, queue position management, and utility coordination
  • Local zoning, special-use permits, AHJ engagement, and public hearings
  • Title, ALTA survey, wetlands, T&E, and Phase I environmental
  • Preliminary engineering, layout optimization, and energy modeling
  • Offtake structuring - utility PPA, REC monetization, or subscriber-pay
  • Tax-equity, sponsor-equity, and sponsor-debt syndication
  • Co-development arrangements with capital partners and landowners

Deliverables

  • Site control + interconnection deposit
  • Permitted, NTP-ready project package
  • Pro-forma model with IRR sensitivities
  • Buyer/sponsor introductions when syndicating

Good fit if

  • Landowners with 10+ buildable acres
  • Capital partners seeking NTP-ready pipeline
  • Developers who need a co-development arm

Service 02

EPC / construction

Ground-mount community solar at any scale, fixed-tilt or single-axis tracker.

Cannon's in-house EPC team designs, procures, and builds community solar arrays end-to-end - no upper limit on system size. We're a full-stack EPC - engineering, procurement, and construction under one accountable contract - so the asset owner has one number to call when something needs to ship, get fixed, or get inspected.

Typical NTP → PTO: 6–9 months

What we do

  • Stamped civil, structural, electrical, and SCADA engineering
  • Geotech coordination, pile testing, and racking design optimization
  • Procurement of modules, inverters, racking, transformers, and BOS
  • Domestic-content sourcing for the 10% IRA ITC adder
  • Tier-1 supplier relationships with bonded delivery commitments
  • Mechanical and electrical install with W-2 crews - no rotating subs
  • MV collection, pad-mount transformer, and substation tie-in
  • Utility witness testing, commissioning, NTP, and PTO
  • Energy storage co-location and AC/DC-coupled BESS integration

Deliverables

  • Permit-ready IFC drawing set
  • Lump-sum or cost-plus EPC contract with schedule guarantee
  • Commissioning report + as-built record set
  • OEM warranty pass-through documentation
  • PTO letter and revenue-meter activation

Good fit if

  • Sponsors with NTP-ready projects needing a builder
  • Developers self-financing community solar arrays
  • Co-located solar + storage projects of any size

Service 03

O&M / asset management

Long-term operations under the CANOS service platform.

Once a project is in commercial operation, Cannon runs it on CANOS - the same service-ops platform that manages our 22-state residential and commercial portfolio. Owners get a single accountable operator, real performance data, and the same crews on every truck roll for the life of the asset.

Mobilization: 30–60 days. Contracts: 5–25 years.

What we do

  • 24/7 SCADA monitoring with sub-string-level alerting
  • Performance ratio tracking and availability guarantees
  • Scheduled preventative maintenance + IR/aerial thermography
  • Vegetation management, fence repair, and erosion control
  • Module washing, snow management, and soiling analysis
  • Inverter, optimizer, transformer, and combiner replacements
  • Re-commissioning after weather events or grid disturbances
  • OEM warranty claim filing, tracking, and recovery
  • Spare-parts inventory, RMA logistics, and equipment swaps
  • Annual independent engineer (IE) reporting for sponsors and lenders

Deliverables

  • Monthly operations report (production, availability, tickets)
  • Quarterly performance review with sponsor + offtaker
  • Annual production report + IE-grade asset summary
  • Real-time CANOS portal access for owners and sponsors

Good fit if

  • Sponsor-owned assets needing long-term O&M
  • Distressed sites that need a re-commissioning + ongoing operator
  • Portfolios of any scale across the eastern US

Service 04

Subscriber management

We run the customer side so the asset owner doesn't have to.

Subscriber management is where most community solar projects break. Cannon runs end-to-end subscriber operations - acquisition, onboarding, billing, support, and churn replenishment - backed by our own CRM and call center. The asset owner sees revenue land in their account every month; we handle everything that gets it there.

Standup: 60–90 days before commercial operation

What we do

  • Subscriber acquisition - residential, SMB, and anchor offtakers
  • LMI-compliant program design and verification where required
  • Multi-channel marketing (digital, direct mail, partner channels)
  • Onboarding flow, e-sign contracts, and utility credit setup
  • Monthly billing, ACH/credit-card processing, and dunning
  • Utility on-bill credit reconciliation and discrepancy resolution
  • Customer support - phone, email, SMS, and self-service portal
  • Allocation re-balancing and seasonal credit smoothing
  • Churn management, win-back, and waitlist replenishment
  • Regulatory compliance reporting (state PUC, utility, program admin)

Deliverables

  • Branded or white-label subscriber portal + mobile experience
  • Filled subscriber book within target lead-up window
  • Monthly remittance + reconciliation report to the asset owner
  • Quarterly churn, satisfaction, and program-compliance report

Good fit if

  • Sponsors who don't want to run a customer org
  • Developers who need a turn-key subscriber partner
  • Programs requiring LMI carve-outs or anchor-tenant structures
